Job Description:
Facility Technology Services, Inc. currently has an opening for a Facility Security Officer (FSO) in Sterling, VA.
FTSi is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated and well organized individual with prior experience administering US government security policies and procedures to serve as a Facility Security Officer (FSO). The FSO will be part of the corporate headquarters staff located in Sterling, VA. This is a permanent full time position not a contract position.
The FSO will provide expertise, guidance and advice to executive management as required, concerning all security administrative functions in support of a NISP complaint Security Department. Functions include the processing of personnel security clearances via the e-Quip system,record maintenance, understanding of the intelligence community and access requests, administering security awareness training programs and preparing visit requests.
This position requires independent judgment and discretion, as well as the identification, analysis and resolution of security-related matters. The successful candidate will provide support for all security functions in accordance with the DCIDs and NISPOM to include managing approximately 200 PCLs associated with collateral and SCI programs. The individual will be responsible for visitor control functions. Daily duties will include conducting new employee briefings, exit interviews and debriefings, investigating and reporting security violations, incident reports, and coordination of periodic reinvestigation's and preparation of DD254 forms for subcontractors. Annual duties include preparing refresher training, self inspections and DSS audits.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Reviews all security paperwork for accuracy, completion and submission via the e-Quip system.
2. Provides guidance and instruction to employees to ensure completion of security paperwork.
3. Establishes and maintains a working relationship with DSS in filing necessary clearance paperwork for new employees and periodic reviews for current employees.
4. Maintains a working relationship with each contract's security office for processing and maintaining employee clearances.
5. Provides followup clearance status on processed clearances to managers for specific contracts.
6. Writes security policies/procedures and prepares written reports of surveys and inspections.
7. Maintains all security documentation and files in accordance with DSS requirements.
8. Prepares necessary paperwork in support of a DSS investigation or annual visit and meets with DSS representative upon request.
Required Education/Skills:
Bachelor's degree preferred or 3+ years of specialized experience.
Must be aware of present day security issues.
Preferred in-depth knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and experience with DSS.
Experience working in a accredited SCIF.
Experience in JPAS and the e-Quip database system.
Experience in the preparation of DD254 forms.
Strong organizational and administrative skills.
Proficient computer skills.
Completion of Formal DSS Academy training course. |

Job Description:
The Personnel Security Administrative Assistant assists and supports the Senior Security Staff with the day-to-day interpretation, implementation, enforcement, and execution of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual; provides assistance to the Corporate Headquarters Facility Security Officer and hands-on management/supervisory support, including clearance processing, visit certifications, document control, and classification management. Performs JPAS duties and conducts security briefings and debriefings. Provides security guidance to facility personnel, and interfaces on behalf of the Senior Security Staff with Defense Security Services personnel on items pertaining to the NISPOM. Generates security related correspondence with other general office duties, and act as a courier of classified materials.
Requirements:
•2+ years of experience with the management and supervision of a contractor and a DoD collateral facility required
•Reviews all security paperwork for accuracy and completion and submits via the eQIP system.
•Follows up on processed clearances to provide a clearance status to managers for specific contracts
•Assists Senior Security Staff with writing security policies and procedures, and prepares written reports of surveys and inspections.

Facility Technology Services, Inc. is currently hiring Security Specialists for several positions in Washington, DC. All applicants must have expertise in numerous security disciplines to include personnel, industrial, physical, communications and operations security, with an emphasis on Administrative Personnel Security. Adjudication experience preferred. Security Specialists will provide a broad range of security administrative duties.
Specific duties:
•Document Control – ability to classify information and provide guidance on how to handle classified information
•Evaluate and recommend overall plans and proposals for I&A security projects
•Coordinate incoming and outgoing visit certifications; verify clearances submit requests for access (RFA); escort duties; familiarity with JPAS and Scattered Castles
